Horowitz threatens to sue student over op-ed responding to hate posters

Donald Trump is not the only textbook legal bully this season. David Horowitz– a driver of anti-Muslim and anti-Black hate – threatened to sue UCLA senior Robert Gardner in response to an op-ed calling the Horowitz Freedom Center “hateful.” Robert wrote his op-ed after Horowitz plastered the campus with posters describing Robert, and other students and faculty, as promoters of terrorism and “Jew Hatred.”

“Real Talk” on Palestine at Bard College: Marcus Avoids “Difficult Questions”

Last Friday, Palestine Legal Director, Dima Khalidi, spoke at a conference at Bard College, “Real Talk: Difficult Questions about Race, Sex and Religion.” The conference looked at recent controversies on campuses, with speakers presenting opposing viewpoints. 

Khalidi was invited to speak to the difficult climate for Palestine activists on campus, while Kenneth Marcus, head of the Brandeis Center and architect of the use of Title VI complaints alleging that Palestine activism creates an antisemitic climate for Jewish students, was invited to discuss antisemitism on campus.

Will the University of Chicago stand up for students targeted by David Horowitz posters?

Today, Palestine Legal sent a letter to the University of Chicago president, calling on the administration to immediately condemn and investigate the latest poster campaign by the David Horowitz Freedom Center. On Thursday, October 20, a number of defamatory, hateful posters were found around campus targeting students due to their support for Palestinian rights.

University of California Berkeley (Cal) reinstated a student-led course on Palestine this morning following an outcry over its arbitrary suspension last week. The suspension, taken in apparent response to pressure from Israel advocacy groups, was widely condemned -- by students, professors, and observers -- as a violation of academic freedom, shocking, and unjustifiable.
