Palestine Legal and 70+ civil rights groups to Facebook: Protect human rights documentation

On Monday, Palestine Legal and over 70 civil rights groups wrote to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to demand that the company clarify its policies for content removal when requested by government officials, police, and other government actors.

The letter was sent in response to several troubling incidents in which Facebook took down content depicting police violence, suppression of indigenous resistance, the disabling of Palestinian journalists’ accounts, and other human rights documentation.
