In 2018, Palestine Legal issued an advisory and an update regarding FBI visits to Palestine activists. Given new reports we have heard of activists being questioned by the FBI and local police amid this year’s popular uprising for Palestinian rights and new and updated resources from the National Lawyers’ Guild and the Center for Constitutional Rights, we wanted to reissue this information for our community.

Palestine Legal has released a new report analyzing trends in the censorship of the U.S. movement for Palestinian rights in 2020, in the context of the Trump administration’s crackdown on Palestine advocacy and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Palestine Legal responded to 213 incidents of suppression of U.S.-based Palestine advocacy over the course of 2020, totaling 1,707 suppression incidents between 2014 and 2020.

2019 in Review: Intensifying Censorship Efforts Fail to Thwart Thriving Movement

Palestine Legal just released a new report analyzing attempts to censor the U.S. movement for Palestinian rights in 2019. While efforts to silence the movement intensified from public officials and institutions, activists pushed back, winning key victories on campus and in court. Palestine Legal responded to 247 incidents of suppression of U.S.-based Palestine advocacy over the course of 2019, totaling 1,494 suppression incidents between 2014 and 2019.
