In 2017, the Wyoming legislature considered HB 279, a bill that would require certifications in state contracts over $50,000 that the contractor does not boycott Israel and will not boycott Israel during the term of the contract. The bill would also prohibit the state’s retirement system from investing in companies that boycott Israel. The bill died in committee.

In 2017, an anti-BDS non-binding resolution was also introduced in the Wyoming legislature. HJ 0004 "rejects" the BDS movement and calls on state agencies to "note" a company's participation in BDS campaigns when considering bids for state contracts. The resolution failed to pass.
