Nevada

(updated 3/21/2017)

In 2017, Nevada lawmakers introduced a bill that would require the state to develop a blacklist of for-profit entities that boycott Israel. The bill would prohibit the state from contracting with or investing in for-profit entities that boycott Israel.

Read the bill: SB 26

SB 26 is unconstitutional. Boycotts to bring about political, economic, and social change - like boycotts for Palestinian rights - are protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The state may not condition the receipt of benefits on the requirement that you forgo a constitutional right.
